Over the years, we’ve learned that seemingly small things can make a huge difference. Different textures, sounds, smells, routines and situations can sometimes feel completely different for an autistic child, and what works brilliantly one day might not work the next.
As a family, we’ve spent years learning alongside Bella — discovering the things that help her regulate, relax, focus, communicate and feel more comfortable in the world around her.
We’ve also experienced the trial and error that comes with finding sensory products. Some become firm favourites, some help during difficult moments, and others simply aren’t right for her.
That experience is a big part of why Bella’s Sensory Box was created.
We wanted to create something that feels personal rather than clinical — a box filled with carefully chosen sensory items, new experiences and a little bit of encouragement.
Every child is different, and we would never pretend that one product works for everyone. Instead, Bella’s journey inspires us to keep exploring, listening and learning.
From Bella’s experiences, and ours as a family, we hope Bella’s Sensory Box can help other children discover some of the little things that make their world feel that bit easier.
